Commentsis the hunter a female deer? O_O wow, that's a really really good piece. excelent work on everything
The light backround fade is -far- too violently done from the first shadow to the last. Definately work on that for the finished product.
The foreground tree (the one that's alone) is good, but it needs to be blended a bit more. The colors are still a little rough. Other than that, this looks awesome. -- Your praying to the great lords internet with your complaints, and after they feed on your suffering, they shit out happynes. *drackar Yay, critique. Thank you!
Just to make sure I'm getting you-- you're saying the trees fade too abruptly into the mist from right to left? (This is something I have been working on-- I don't want the fade to be too abrupt, but I also don't want the mist to seem too thin.) And yeah, all the trees are still pretty rough. I'm not sure what you mean by 'blended.' The cylinder of the trunk is not convincingly modeled? The tree does not integrate with the rest of the picture? (Both potentially problems.) -- [link] Yes, Moira is a doe hunter. She lives in a world where there are both animal people and regular animals (called wilderkin). The stag is... neither.
-- [link] The colors in the trunk are too stark against one another,so it's the first thing you said-it's not really, really convincing, but it's getting there.
And yeah. ^_^ The fade is way too abrupt. like I said, though. It does look very nice. -- Your praying to the great lords internet with your complaints, and after they feed on your suffering, they shit out happynes. *drackar -- Your praying to the great lords internet with your complaints, and after they feed on your suffering, they shit out happynes. *drackar have you been adding texture? it is looking more and more like a real oil painting. I feel you did something on the White Stag, he looks better now for some reason.
Sharp eyes. I changed his back legs. They were lined up overlapping, and since the front legs were too, he looked like he should fall over like a coin standing on edge. Now he's got a nice stable tripod going and he looks more stately.
